Kohli’s Career In Brief
Initial Phase:-
- Virat has been a cricket enthusiast since his childhood & his talent was noticed by his neighbours who asked his father to take him to a professional cricket club. After that, his father took him to the academy & he became the first player to join West Delhi Cricket Academy in 1998.
- Virat was introduced to his coach Rajkumar Sharma in WDCA & initially started playing cricket under his guidance. During the same time, he also used to play cricket simultaneously for Sumeet Dogra Academy in East Delhi.
- He got his first breakthrough when he got the chance to play for the Delhi Under-15 team in the 2002-03 Polly Umrigar Trophy after getting rejected from Delhi’s Under-14 team. He was also the captain for the Delhi team in the season 2003-04 in the Polly Umrigar Trophy.
