- Abhimanyu is a batsman who often bowls & plays for the Bengal Cricket Team in the domestic circuit. Other than that, he also plays for India A in the Deodhar Trophy and India Red team in the Duleep Trophy.
- He first made his appearance in the Ranji Trophy in 2013 when he debuted the Bengal team on December 14, 2013, against the Uttar Pradesh Ranji Team.
- After that, he made his List A debut 2 years later playing his first List A match against Madhya Pradesh on December 17, 2015.
